This is listed as “open box” not because the box has been opened, but because it is LN: not “New in Box” or NIB. By LN, we mean the following:
- The manufacturer seal has not been broken.
- They have not been sold (new).
- Their unopened OEM boxes may have the following issues that that should not impact the function of the speaker: (a) some small dents that would not have made contact with the speaker. (b) other cosmetic blemishes that will not impede identifying what is contained in the unopened OEM box.
- You may hear and feel the speaker traveling inside the new opened OEM box more than you usually would. Upon request, we can open and reinforced/repair the OEM box internally to secure the speaker for transport after inspecting the speaker per below.
Open Box Option
Our opened boxes have passed our 11-point inspection which means they do NOT have the following when we ship them out:
- bent/warped rim or basket
- wrinkled/warped/creased cone
- coil-rub
- non-standard incursion and excursion under electrical load

Celestion’s specs for the Celestion G10 Creamback Guitar speaker boast:
Hand-built in the UKThe OEM claims above are substantiated by the “MADE IN U.K” printed on the the sticker of each speaker’s OEM box (see photo), and the sticker on the speaker magnet itself (see photo). Since these are “New in Box”, the speakers in the photo are stock photos. The stock photos at https://celestion.com/product/g10-creamback/ show that the full stickers on the back of the magnet read “Celestion International”. Some have inquired if it will read, “Ipswich” or specify the exact manufacturer location here – like the old days. It does not. This designation appears to no longer be useful in determining whether they are currently being made in UK or elsewhere. At the same web page, Celestion further clarifies the issue by writing:
