While we have the OEM box open during inspection, we may internally reinforce it to better secure the speaker during shipping.  Ultimately, the box and guitar speaker(s) may have cosmetic issues that should not effect their function. These may not be not shown in the photo of this listing – which is a stock photo of an LN.

Quality Assurance

Our open box offers have passed our 11-point inspection which means they do NOT have the following when we ship them out:

  • bent/warped rim or basket
  • wrinkled/warped/creased cone
  • coil-rub
  • non-standard incursion and excursion under electrical load
    They may have been hooked up or installed into an amp and played for testing/brief trial.

Made in UK

Celestion’s production of this model moved back to the United Kingdom.  They were, for some previous years, made/assembled in China. If you are looking for English craftsmanship in assembling the same speaker with the same famous tone that we have come to expect, this is for you. 

Really made in UK?

The following should address such questions/concerns:

  • It says “Made in UK” on the sticker on the unopened white manufacturer box that it ships in (see photo).
  • Since these are NIB, please purchase and send a photo of the thick manufacturer’s sticker that says “Made in UK” on the side of the speaker’s back cover, or photo the absence of one to shock us.
  • The speaker does not ship in the brown masterpack box in the photo that also says “Made in UK”.
